SBArt4 4.2β3 - Computer-generated images by artificial selection. (Free)

SBArt4 is a design support tool to create an interesting 2D CG image based on artificial selection, which was originally proposed as Artificial Evolution by Mr. Karl Sims.

Version 4 is a full revision of the previous version, that takes advantage of graphic processor unit by compiling each genotype into a program of Core Image Kernel languange. This innovation enabled breeding an abstract movie in realtime.

WHAT'S NEW

Version 4.2β3:

• The algorithm of sound synthesis was changed again to produce richer sounds.
• Each chromosome in genome got possible to be locked against mutation.
• The menu items on animation and sounds got separated from the view menu in the main menu.

REQUIREMENTS

• Mac OS X 10.6 or later.
• Separate ATI or NVIDIA GPU.

N.B. Intel GMA is not supported.
