smallluxGPU 1.5.3
SmallluxGPU is an GUI with the 64 Bit OpenCL commandline app working as DEMO and BENCHMARK for OpenCL raytracing 4 demo scenes. SNOW LEOPARD - 10.6.x neeeded!

The project goal will be to work as an blender plugin for high speed previews or HQ rendering 3D Scenes. Visit the hompage of luxrender.net for more details !

I made the gui around that commandline app and added 4 scenes for fast and easy tests/benching.

Speed is shown in KSamles/Sec - the more the faster your CPU+GPU or GPU (if run GPU only mode)

smalllux is highly optimized and squeeze out all of your CPU cores and GPUs

It will use all OpenCL GPUs (up to 2) automatic for speedup the raytraycing task.

WHAT'S NEW
Version 1.5.3:
  • added Benchmark Mode Highend - does same as Benchmark Mode (Midrange) before, but renders the scene in double size = double time needed. Reason: Highend GPUs like ATI 4870 and GTX 285 rendered the Benchmark Mode so fast (around 9 sec) that the overheadtime (0,5 - 1,5 sec) between runs isnt valide anymore. Therefore new Highend Mode doubles the time all GPUs will need in this mode
  • changed 8 Cores CPU + GPUs into 6 cores - even an 8 Core Xeon System needs some \"air\" to breath beside the high cpu+gpu usage of that benchmark.
  • changed 8 Cores CPU + GPUs into 6 cores - even an 8 Core Xeon System needs some \"air\" to breath beside the high cpu+gpu usage of that benchmark.
  • added all known benchmark results as reference in the result screen. Until now most reference results can be found in the Midrange Benchmark Mode Result window. (from 156 sec an 9400M needs of to only 9 sec an ATI 4870 needs. You can double that Midrange sec times to guess the values you would get in the new Highend Benchmark mode.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Mac OS X 10.6.3 or later.
  • OpenCL GPU (ATI 48xx, NV 9400M, 8800GS, 8800GT, GTX 285)
