TabKeys Safari Extension 2.0
TabKeys lets you assign custom keyboard shortcuts for common tab actions in Safari. Available actions are: opening a new tab, closing the active tab, refreshing the active tab, and switching to the next or previous tab.
For each action, you can assign up to three characters as shortcuts, alone or in combination with Command, Option, and/or Shift. For example, you could assign lowercase w, uppercase W, and ç (Option+C) to Close Tab.
New in TabKeys 2.0: You can now define any number of web addresses, including bookmarklets, and assign a hotkey to each. If a hotkey is assigned to a web address, TabKeys will open the address in a new tab; if it's for a bookmarklet, TabKeys will run the bookmarklet in the current tab.
WHAT'S NEW
Version 2.0:
- Added support for opening any number of arbitrary web addresses (and bookmarklets) via hotkeys.
- Added an option to open new tabs next to the current tab.
- Hotkeys using the Command key are now supported.
- Hotkeys are now usable while a page is loading (in most cases).
- Moved TabKeys settings to their own HTML page.
- Added a toolbar button to access the settings page. You can also type Command-Shift-, (that's a comma) to go there. (And of course that hotkey is configurable too.)
- Removed the Go Back and Go Forward actions because they were not working well. If possible, these actions will be restored in a later version.
REQUIREMENTS
- Mac OS X 10.5.8 or later.
- Safari 5.
